摘要:The present invention describes an in situ hybridization arrangement for thespecific detection of microorganisms in a sample. Such arrangement has a container withat least one opening, a support for the hybridization solution, a slide, and a fasteningmeans for the slide. The invention further describes a method for specific detection ofmicroorganisms in a sample by in situ hybridization. The method of the present inventioncomprises of the steps of: fixing the microorganisms contained in the sample; incubatingthe fixed cells with detectable nucleic acid probe molecules; removing or washing-off thenon-hybridized nucleic acid probe molecules, and detecting the cells hybridized with thenucleic acid probe molecules. Such method is carried out using the in situ hybridizationarrangement of the invention. The invention also encompasses a kit for a specificdetection of microorganisms by in situ hybridization using the in situ hybridizationarrangement of the invention
