摘要：Provided is a method for manufacturing a coil spring, whereby a coating filmhaving adequate corrosion resistance and chipping resistance in a single coat thereof canbe uniformly formed on the surface of a coil spring. A method for manufacturing a coilspring comprises dipping a coil spring (S) of a vehicle suspension member in a fluidizedbed (2) in which a powder coating material (P) is fluidized and coating the coil spring (S).The fluidized bed (2) has a vertical flow region (8) in which the powder coating material (P)flows in an upward or downward direction. The coil spring (S) is dipped in the vertical flowregion (8) of the fluidized bed (2) in an orientation in which an end turn part (E1) of thecoil spring (S) faces upward, and the coil spring (S) is periodically moved (R2) relative tothe vertical flow region (8) in a direction including a component perpendicular to thecentral axis (X) of the coil spring (S).
