摘要：A process for preparing polyamides which comprises polycondensingdicarboxylic acids having the following general formula and diamines by using

carbodiimides as the condensing agent. ##STR1## wherein X is a group having a valenceof (m+2), and C.sub.6-20 carbocyclic group, C.sub. 3-20 heterocyclic group, C.sub.2-20alkyl group, or C.sub.2-20 alkenyl group, the group having at least one carbon-carbondouble bond in the position of conjugating to carboxylic acid radical or the group havingan &agr;,&bgr;-unsaturated ketone structure;

< P>Y is --OR or --NRR' wherein R and R' each independently is C.sub.5- 20 carbocyclicgroup, C.sub.1-20 heterocyclic group, C.sub.1-20 alkyl group or substituted groupthereof having at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of --OW(wherein W is C.sub.1-12 alkyl group), C.sub. 2-12 saturated acyl group, C.sub.2-12saturated acyloxy group, C.sub.2-12 saturated acylamino group, C.sub.2-12 dialkylaminogroup, --SW (wherein W is the same as defined above), C.sub.2-12 saturated acylthiogroup and C. sub.3-12 group having at least one silicon atom;

m is 0, 1 or 2; and

-- COY can be attached to any of the positions ortho, peri, &bgr; and &ggr; withrespect to the --COOH group.
